A fugue is musical composition in which a short melody or phrase is introduced by one part and successively taken up by others and developed by interweaving the parts. Next in my series on sound, this conceptual painting represents a fugue in E major.
About Polly Castor
I’ve painted my whole life, but my artwork really took off when I started painting ideas, instead of people, places, or things. I love to start with an abstract idea, and then conceptually represent it. The first idea I painted was “confidence,” followed by summing up the essence of “July.” After that, I was hooked.
