Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

The tree is tenaciously surviving, even though its roots reach for purchase, sprawling above ground in all directions to get to where they can burrow into the earth. The Bible says that when seeds fall into stoney ground it is no good, and I agree it is not ideal; but often, I think it should be noted, they do find a way to flourish, regardless of the challenges facing them. When they do, they have so much more character, are interesting and beautiful in their own way. Many people have had “rocky” childhoods, and can relate. Some might say they are scarred forever, although that seems to depend more on attitude and choices about how to respond to those conditions. Like the tree in the painting, I am holding that it is possible to do well anyway.

I’ve painted my whole life, but my artwork really took off when I started painting ideas, instead of people, places, or things. I love to start with an abstract idea, and then conceptually represent it. The first idea I painted was “confidence,” followed by summing up the essence of “July.” After that, I was hooked. I feel energized when I paint in this fresh and thoughtful way, and the result is very creative, authentic, and engaging. Because it’s so content driven, people who have purchased my work say it communicates a feeling of fullness, vibrance, satisfaction, and joy.
